8 Simple Ways to Shed Costs

by Tami on September 7, 2009

Now more than ever, brides are looking for ways to cut costs. Here are 8 simple things you can do to maximize your wedding budget:

1. Select a location that is already beautiful, no need for
    additional décor.
2. Chose a reception site that comes with rentals (chairs, tables, flatware).
3. Edit the guest list. Cost per head is the biggest expense.
4. Serve beer and wine instead of a full bar.
5. Omit the champagne toast, most guests take a few sips
and the rest of the glass is tossed.
6. Hire a deejay or use an iPod instead of a band.
7. Have the wedding on another day of the week-Sunday-
Friday, locations are most often cheaper.
8. DIY invitations, programs, place cards and favors can save you a bundle.
